As you may or may not know Syndicate Games was only recently started up and it would appear that in the madness of creating this space and getting the initial reviews/posts up we turned a blind eye to the comments feature.

So! Having realised this we have now made it so that no accounts are needed for posting comments you can just be anonymous, at least we may get some feedback from you guys now that no Google account is required We look forward to hearing your thoughts in the coming days/weeks/amounts of time.

Germany Says NO! to Black Ops

By Mark

Ya really gotta feel sorry for certain regions when it comes to cencorship. The laws and rulings sometimes are just totally outrageous and pathetic, this being one of those times. Call of Duty: Black Op's being a military shooter went through hefty checks regarding the use of war sybols/nazi type affiliations/context etc and has resulted in an 'extremely' censored product.

One of the silliest things about this is the fact that even the Rolling Stones hit "Sympathy For The Devil" has been removed due to its content. As far as the PC version is concerned you'd think it'd be alrighty to just import the game from another European region but you'd be wrong, the only ones authorised to work through steam are those bought localised versions for Germany.

While not being affected by this, we as gamers ourselves have gotta agree that things like this are just plain fucked up. Hope it improves German gamers!

Zenimax Acquires Resident Evil Creator and Studio

By Mark

Wow. ZeniMax has just announced its confirmation that it has acquired Tango Gameworks and subsequently Shinji Mikami the grandaddy of Resident Evil. It's been said the studio will remain under Mikami's direction so nothing should change design wise with the developer.

If you need refreshing ZeniMax also have Bethesda under their wing along with iD so adding in this as well they've got some pretty great talent working for them. For the full story along with quotes from Mikami and ZeniMax head over to vg247

Dragon Age II Getting Cerberus Networked..Well Kinda

By Mark

I doubt it's a surpise to anyone that a game published by EA will feature some way of encouraging the buying of 'new' games and not used ones. Therefore the fact that Dragon Age II will have a feature incredibly similar to Mass Effect 2's Cerberus Network shouldn't come as a shock.

As for what content will exactly come through this pipeline system is unsure, but speaking with Joystiq Mark Darrah of Bioware has said "We haven't announced what's in it, but it'll definitely be something kind of in that Cerberus vein where there will be additional content.". It should be noted that this content won't be the content included with the 'Signature Edition' of the game and will be content all of its own.

He also goes on to say that the overall quality of DLC for Dragon Age II will be of a much higher quality than that of Origins. I'm sure that's fantastic news to everyone who has in fact played through the DLC for the original as while not being really 'bad' in any respects, they were usually lackluster and far too short save a few.

Black Ops Gets Custom Games/Split Screen Online

By Mark

The community manager over at Treyarch one Josh Olin has detailed a few 'little known' changes and features that are going to be in the upcoming Call of Duty game. The most notable of these are custom games ala Halo were players can set up their own types of game modes/matches and host them on their file share space. Another important feature is online split screen, be it either with a guest signed in or another Gamertag/PSN ID, they may not sound like drastic changes but they're welcome and should make a few people happy.

Other things include:
  • In game friends list
  • Regional Matchmaking and Party Privacy
  • Emblems do not reset upon 'Prestige-ing'
If you wanna get the full skinny on whats going down with some aspects of Black Ops multiplayer head on over to Playstation Blog and check it out!

Ocarina of Time 3DS Footage

By Mark

With the strong lineup of games already announced for the 3DS i'm guessing most people are looking forward to when the little handheld device releases and one of the most anticipated titles I'd imagine is the Zelda Ocarina of Time Remake. Here is some footage from a game show floor room, its not the best but hey you get to see some right?

Persona 2 - Innocent Sin Bound for PSP Treatment

By Mark

That's right folks the game thats now more than a decade old is getting the PSP remake treatment just like the first did! What's also great about this release is that it is indeed Innocent Sin and not Persona 2: Eternal Punishment which was released in North America many moons ago, the only way people could play Innocent Sin was by a fan translation.

No word has been said about an EP remake but it wouldn't surprise me if one came along at some point. The game is being handled by Shoji Meguro who also took hold of the first Persona remake for PSP. Good news for handheld RPG fans, look out for word on a release date etc in the future!

WarDevil - Officially Dead

By Mark

Remember around 5 years ago when WarDevil was announced by Ignition and seemed to offer high visual fidelity and some pretty slick looking action? It had a shaky run all the way through development as the game the game jumped from being multiplat to PS3 Exclusive then back to multilplat and so on and finally after all this time the plug has been pulled. I gotta say, this kinda sucks.

The game looked to be pretty interesting and its a shame to see that some hard work will go to waste, still! Check out this old trailer to refresh yourselves if you're a little sketchy on the details.

WarDevil, we hardly knew ye.

Let us know what you think about this, are you sad/annoyed/angry/uncaring or what!?

Rumour/Unconfirmed - Uncharted 3 Perhaps?

By Mark

Amazon France has listed what would appear to be the third installment in Naughty Dog's PS3 Exclusive Uncharted series, while there's almost no doubt the game is coming this is still interesting and it's even specifically named. Of course, this could just be a mishap and its not uncommon for these things to occur, if there's word of an update we'll be sure to let you know.

Amazon France - http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.fr%2FSony-Uncharted-3%2Fdp%2FB003RWS3FC%2Fref%3Dsr_1_1%3Fie%3DUTF8%26qid%3D1287920015%26sr%3D8-1

Update - This may indeed just be coincidence, turns out that some guy did this for his architecture class. Still interesting that Amazon thought it possible to list though, many rumblings indeed, will have to keep our eyes peeled for more.
