FFXIV Shakey Launch - Square Enix Want to 'Regain Trust'

By Mark

Head honcho down at Square Enix a certain Yoichi Wada has come out and said that the developer is hard at work to regain trust and belief in the product. Speaking with Andriasang, he said "We're quickly working on reforms. We'd like to put our full power into regaining trust," he then goes on to say: "If we satisfy our users, they will return. On the other hand, once the users say, 'forget this,' there's no turning back. We can only recover our trust so far."

He's right with what he's saying, I just fear that it may be too late as gamers as a general collective are harsh reviewers and once a product is labelled as bad in most cases people are unwilling to return. What do you think?

  1. I am losing faith in squenix alltogether now, they are jsut releasing a barrage of rubbish. Nobuo Uematsu has let himself down greatly with the rubbish repetative soundtrack coupled with 14. They are releasing needless games and spinoffs when they dont matter reducing the time theyve got to work on the major titles. If they didnt release crap liek Kingdom hearts coded or other silly needless spinoffs, i would be pretty sure we would have versus 13 by end of this year but now its estimated till 2012. They are not doing themselves justice either, they jsut seem lazy now :/ The japanese game industry is in shambles aswell, i hope all the best to them though because i miss having a decent final fantasy game :(

  3. A 'true' throwback to the days of old in terms of Final Fantasy would be more than welcome. JRPG's are in enough trouble as it is and when the 'flagship' backer of them is doing this then indeed there is cause for concern.
